About Tiny Roamers
Something lives on this page.
Tiny Roamers puts a tiny pixel creature on the pages you browse, and it keeps
you company while you work. Pick Dino, the classic (it used to work at Chrome,
on the offline shift), or Cat, who peeks over the edge of things and firmly
believes cats are aliens.
Your roamer looks at the page the way a platformer hero would: headings, cards,
images and buttons become ledges it can hop onto. It walks, climbs, tours the
page, falls off edges, and rides along when you scroll.
IT HAS A LIFE OF ITS OWN
• Talks: every so often a little speech bubble pops up with a short joke
about its life, in English or Turkish
• Dances: now and then a disco ball comes down, the floor lights up and it
dances to a tiny chiptune
• Rests: reads a book, listens to music, grooms its paws, naps in a loaf
• Dino sprints, roars and jumps over cacti nobody else can see; Cat peeks,
pounces on your cursor and purrs when you pet it
PLAY WITH IT
• Click your roamer to make it jump
• Grab it and toss it. Real physics: it flies, bounces off walls and lands
• Move your cursor and it follows you with its eyes
MAKE IT YOURS
• Energy: Calm (mostly stays in a corner and naps), Normal or Lively
• Soft 8-bit sounds with a volume slider, or none at all
• Speech bubbles on or off, English or Turkish
• Three sizes, automatic colors for light and dark pages, or your own color
• "On this page" with one click, or "On every site" (optional), and you can
switch it off for any site
• Hide it while a video or slideshow is fullscreen
LIGHT AND PRIVATE
• No data collection, no tracking, no network requests. Everything runs
locally in your browser, fonts and sounds included
• Minimal permissions: access to all sites is only requested if you turn on
"On every site"
• Clicks always go to the page: your roamer never blocks a link or button
• Respects "reduce motion": your roamer stays still
