The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About TileTab
TileTab replaces the new tab page with a grid of your own links.
Links are shown as tiles in four sizes, grouped into sections you name, and each tile is coloured after the service it points to. A category rail on the left jumps between sections. Press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on Mac) to search every link by name.
Editing happens in place. Drag tiles to reorder them or to move them into another section. Pick from about 5,200 built-in icons or upload your own logo. Choose whether links open in a new tab or the current one. A "Most opened" row appears once a few links have been clicked.
Your data stays in the browser. TileTab requests only the storage permission, has no host permissions, and never makes a network request. Export and Import move your links between browsers as a JSON file.
Free and open source. Respects the reduced-motion setting.
