About Tidet
Tidet is a desktop app for building software with AI agents. This extension lets Tidet agents work in the browser you already use.
Agents usually work in a throwaway browser: empty, signed out, nobody's. That is fine for checking that a page renders, and no use for the ticket, the dashboard, the invoice or the cloud console, which all sit behind a session you are already signed in to.
With this extension installed and paired, Tidet agents can:
• See what is on a page: its structure, its controls and their labels, the way a screen reader does, the words on it, and a screenshot of the tab when they need one.
• Act on it the way you would: click (including right-click and double-click), type, fill in a whole form at once, choose from lists, hover to open menus, drag sliders, scroll, write in rich text boxes, and attach a file from your computer that you point them to.
• Move around: go to a page, back, forward and reload in the same tab, and wait until what they are waiting for actually appears.
• Tell you what went wrong: when a page fails, what it reported in its console and which of its requests failed. The contents of those requests are never read unless you ask for them.
• Keep their work in one place: each Tidet session gets its own tab group, so you can see which tabs an agent opened and close them together.
• Sign in without ever seeing your password. Tidet asks your password manager to fill the field (1Password today; otherwise your browser's own password manager offers) and steps back. The value goes from the manager to the page. It never passes through Tidet, is not in its transcript, and is not sent to any model.
It only works while you are paired. You read a six-character code in Tidet and type it into the extension. The code expires in five minutes, and either side can end the pairing: unpair or uninstall the extension, or revoke the browser in Tidet's settings.
It only talks to your own computer. The extension connects to the Tidet app on 127.0.0.1, with no Tidet server in between, no telemetry and no account. What an agent reads from a page goes to the Tidet app, which sends it to the AI model you chose in Tidet, as it does with anything else you show that agent.
Requires the Tidet desktop app. The extension does nothing on its own. Download Tidet at https://tidet.ai.
