The AirNyx METAR Decoder

THE AIRNYX METAR DECODER Decode METARs anywhere on the web. Built by a working aircraft dispatcher for pilots and dispatchers who read METARs every day. WHAT IT DOES - Paste any METAR into the popup and get an instant plain-English decode — wind direction and speed, visibility, weather phenomena, cloud layers and ceilings, temperature, dewpoint, altimeter setting, and remarks. - On aviation weather sites (aviationweather.gov, 1800wxbrief.com), METARs are automatically highlighted as you browse. Internal dispatch systems, flight planning tools, briefing platforms — anywhere a METAR appears. WHO IT'S FOR - Aircraft dispatchers reviewing observed weather for active flights - Student dispatchers studying for the FAA ADX written exam - Student pilots learning to read METARs for PPL, IR, CPL, and ATP exams - CFIs explaining METAR format to students - Private pilots checking weather before a flight HOW IT DECODES The extension uses the standard METAR token definitions from FAA Advisory Circular AC 00-45H Chapter 3.
