About Tempo Kit – Metronome, Tuner, Video Transpose & Practice

Tempo Kit. Less switching. Less setup. More playing. Turn your browser into a focused music practice station: metronome, tuner, drone, automatically logged practice journal, recorder, Pomodoro timer, reps counter and video practice tools, all beside the music you’re learning. Most musicians practice with something already open: a YouTube lesson, play-along, backing track, sheet music, tabs or a song they’re learning by ear. Tempo Kit keeps your practice tools in that same window, so you can stop bouncing between a tuner on your phone, a metronome tab and notes you’ll forget to reopen. Loop a difficult phrase, learn a solo, run a set list, record a take or play along to your own audio. Build a workspace around the way you practice, then pick up where you left off. FREE CORE TOOLS • Metronome: 30–600 BPM, tap tempo, subdivisions, nine click sounds and visual flashes. Per-beat accents make any beat louder, softer or silent. Mini metronome controls, including tap tempo, keep your beat within reach while you use other tools. • Chromatic Tuner & Drone: Use the free Gauge view to check your pitch. Real-time pitch detection from your microphone, processed locally in your browser. Adjust your A4 reference from 415 to 466 Hz, explore built-in tunings for twelve instruments and play a reference tone for tuning or ear practice. • Timer & Stopwatch: Run timed focus blocks by piece or technique, time sections and track laps. Show one or both at once; drag the divider to resize or change the arrangement. • Pomodoro Focus Timer: Alternate focused practice with short and long breaks. Adjust your focus duration, break lengths and the number of rounds before a long break. Using the timer and changing these durations are free. • Reps Counter: Create named counters for clean repetitions, attempts, mistakes or any tally you want to track. Set a goal, tap plus or minus, reorder counters and reset counts without losing their names or goals. Your counts stay saved between sessions. • Practice Checklist: Build a warm-up routine or lesson checklist, tick items off as you go and add a snapshot to your journal. Reset the ticks when you’re ready to repeat the routine. • Session Clock: Start a practice session deliberately, keep its elapsed time visible and finish with notes and reflection in your journal. • Practice Journal: Your metronome and supported video practice log automatically. Add tags, a rating and a note while the session is fresh, then search your practice history later. – Edit or delete entries without changing your practice streak. – Name a day, such as “lesson notes” or “recital week,” so it’s easier to find. – Keep a small practice plan on your Today card. – Export a practice report to share with a teacher or practice partner. – Free includes recent journal history; Pro opens your full history. Older entries remain saved when they fall outside the free viewing window. • Practice Recordings: Record audio or a camera take, play it back beside your lesson and download a copy. Recording, playback and downloading are free. Keeping takes in your saved recording library is Pro; saved takes also appear in your practice journal. • Practice Libraries: Save up to three presets and drag to reorder. Notes save automatically. Update the preset you’re using without losing your place, and export or import your library to move your setup. • Set Lists: Line up presets and move through them with Previous and Next from the Metronome, Timer, Stopwatch and Video pages. Run a song list or lesson plan in order. • Practice Notes: Keep notes for the preset you’re working on beside your tools, so lesson reminders and the next thing to practice stay within reach. • Your Own Sidebar: Add one custom sidebar page and arrange the tools you want close at hand. Keep a compact tool available in the Mini Dock while you work elsewhere in Tempo Kit. • Practice Reminders: Get a browser reminder on the days you choose, or add a repeating event to your own calendar so it can remind you even when your browser is closed. • Daily Greeting & Streak: A friendly hello and a no-guilt streak that pauses instead of resetting when you miss a day. Choose from six streak styles. • Your Data, Yours: Export your library, journal or a complete backup, and manage your saved data from Settings. Choose “Everything + recordings” to include saved audio and video. Large recording backups may be split into multiple files; keep the complete set together. PRO FEATURES — TEMPO KIT PRO Try Pro free for three days. No credit card required. Unlock full video practice controls, deeper practice insights, expanded libraries and a dashboard arranged around your own routine. • Markers: Press M to bookmark the moment you’re working on, with a note. Markers appear on the video timeline: drag to move or select one to jump back. Each marker can remember its own loop and playback speed. • Speed Control: Practice from 0.1× to 3× without changing pitch on supported media. • Transpose: Shift from −12 to +12 semitones without changing playback speed. • A–B Loops: Isolate a difficult section and repeat it until it feels comfortable. Copy loops and search your saved loop list. • Mini Video Controls: Keep speed and transpose controls nearby while using other tools. • Five-Band EQ: Bring the part you’re learning forward or reduce competing frequencies, with presets such as Hear bass and Hear melody. • Vocal Adjustment: Reduce or emphasize vocals for practice. Results depend on the recording; this is not guaranteed vocal or instrument isolation. • BPM & Key Detection: Estimate the tempo and musical key of supported video or audio to help you find a starting point. • Tempo Ramp: Choose a starting and target tempo, then let the metronome step you up gradually. Save the ramp in a preset. • Polyrhythm: Layer a second rhythm over the beat, such as three against four or two against three, with its own sound and accents. Both rows stay aligned so you can see where the beats meet.…
