The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Temoto Table — Web Tables to Excel
Read tables from web pages (HTML), images and PDFs, then save them to Excel or CSV. Processing takes place on your device, and you can review the results before saving.
The interface is available in English and Japanese and follows your Chrome display language. Other languages use the English interface. Image recognition is tuned primarily for Japanese tables; accuracy may be lower in other languages. HTML tables and embedded PDF text do not rely on OCR. Compare the results with the source before saving. The support form, demo site and privacy policy are currently primarily in Japanese.
Excel workbook (.xlsx) is the default format. Codes with leading zeros, long numbers and date-like strings are saved as text to preserve their notation. Page styling and formulas are not reproduced.
Features:
- Excel workbooks, UTF-8 CSV with BOM and Shift-JIS CSV
- Copy for Excel and bulk export using your selected format
- Review tables, exclude columns and filter HTML table rows before export
- Optional on-page notifications when tables are detected
- On-device recognition of tables in screen captures, images and PDFs
Choose Read from the screen, draw a rectangle, then confirm with Read or Enter. For long tables, scroll vertically with the wheel, arrow keys or screen edges while selecting. The confirmed area is captured in sections and combined. Capture progress is shown, Esc cancels, and the starting scroll position is restored afterward.
For HTTP/HTTPS PDFs open in Chrome, a selection view appears in the same tab. You can select across pages. Only for this operation, the debugger permission is used briefly to retrieve PDF data already loaded in the selected tab, then disconnected. The extension does not download the PDF again. This route supports PDFs up to 16 MB and the first 100 pages. If it cannot retrieve a PDF, use file import instead.
You can also choose a PDF or image file directly. Embedded PDF text is used where available; image-based tables are recognized by bundled on-device models. For OCR cells, compare the source image, request alternative recognition candidates and apply only the value you choose.
All executable code and recognition models are bundled. Tables, images and PDFs are not sent to external servers or cloud OCR services. No account is required. Captured data and results are held in extension memory and discarded when you select another source or close the import page. Copied data remains on your clipboard and saved files remain on your device.
Supported HTML structures include tables, specification lists, grids, virtual scrolling and in-table pagination. Some sites and PDF formats cannot be read. Horizontal scrolling and indefinitely growing tables are not supported.
Important use information and disclaimer: Temoto Table is a tool to assist with reading and exporting tables. The accuracy or completeness of extracted data and saved results, and operation on every web page, image or PDF, are not guaranteed. Text, numbers or row and column positions may be read incorrectly. CSV values may display differently when opened in spreadsheet software. Always compare copied or saved content with the original source. In particular, verify values and their row and column positions before using the results for important business or financial decisions. Liability for damage arising from use of this extension is governed by applicable law.
Support and unreadable-table reports are available through Google Forms. Page URLs and table contents are not automatically sent to the form.
