About TeenCue: Parental Controls for AI Chats
They ask AI what they won't ask you.
Teens use AI chatbots for homework, but also for friendships, stress and questions they're not ready to bring to a parent. TeenCue gives you a calm, private view of that, without turning you into someone who reads their messages.
HOW IT WORKS
Each AI chat gets four things: the service, a category (like schoolwork or personal advice), a short topic, and a concern level: Normal, Low, Moderate or Significant.
Chats rated Moderate or Significant are grouped as "worth a look," so you know when a conversation might help.
You check in from your TeenCue dashboard at teencue.com, and get a weekly summary email.
WHAT YOU WON'T SEE
No transcripts. TeenCue never shows you what your teen typed or what the AI replied.
Prompt text is processed briefly to work out the category and topic, then discarded.
No blocking, no general browsing history, no hidden mode. Your teen knows it's installed.
SUPPORTED SERVICES
Works with 10 of the most popular AI chat services. The full list is at teencue.com.
SETUP
About five minutes per computer. Create your parent account at teencue.com, add your teen, then pair this extension on their computer with a one-time code.
GOOD TO KNOW
Works in Chrome on a computer. It does not cover phones or tablets.
Ratings come from an AI classifier and can be wrong. Use them to start a conversation, not to reach a verdict.
A TeenCue subscription is required: $9.99 a month or $79 a year.
The TeenCue iPhone app for parents is coming soon. Join the waitlist at teencue.com/iphone.
