TaskStudio records what you do on a website and replays it later, step by step, in your own Chrome profile — already signed in, with your own access, on the same machine you normally work on. Instead of writing a script, you do the task once. TaskStudio watches the clicks, the typing, the dropdowns and the navigation, and turns them into a task you can run again whenever you need it. HOW IT WORKS 1. Start a recording from the TaskStudio desktop app or the TaskStudio web app. The extension asks your permission before it touches any site. 2. Do the task normally in the tab it opens. A small bar shows that recording is on, and how many steps have been captured. 3. Press Save. The steps go to TaskStudio, where you can review, name and edit them. 4. Replay any time. TaskStudio drives the same tab through the same steps. WHY IT RUNS IN YOUR BROWSER Most web automation runs in a separate, empty browser, so it hits a login wall on the first step. TaskStudio runs in the Chrome you already use, so anything you are signed in to, it can reach — no extra credentials, no service account, nothing copied out to a remote browser farm. WHAT IT IS GOOD FOR • Internal portals and admin tools with no API • Filling the same form across many records • Pulling a report out of a system that only offers a screen • Any multi-step click-path you repeat every week PERMISSION AND PRIVACY • No site access at install. TaskStudio can reach exactly zero websites until you grant one, one site at a time, from the extension's own popup. • You are asked before each new site, and the request names the site. • Passwords, one-time codes and card fields are detected and their values are never recorded. The step is kept so the flow still works — the secret is not. • Every site you have granted is listed on the extension's Allowed sites page and can be removed there in one click. • The extension stores no recordings itself. Steps are handed to the TaskStudio app you started the recording from. • Nothing is recorded unless you started a recording. REQUIREMENTS TaskStudio is a companion extension. It does nothing on its own — you need the TaskStudio desktop app or a TaskStudio account at taskstudio.in to record and replay. Chrome 116 or later.
