About TalorMe - One-Click Resume Tailoring
TalorMe puts your resume one click away from the job posting you're already reading.
WHAT IT DOES
1. Tailor a resume to the job you're viewing.
On a LinkedIn, Indeed or Glassdoor job page, TalorMe adds a "Tailor with TalorMe"
button. Click it and talorme.com opens with that posting's title, company and
link already filled in — no copying the URL, no pasting the description into a
box, no losing your place.
You can also right-click any job link and choose "Tailor with TalorMe".
2. Save or track a job from any page.
On any job page, click the TalorMe icon and choose Save, Track or Tailor. TalorMe
reads that one page when you click, opens talorme.com with the posting, tells
you whether the employer has the same job on its own site, and shows how your
resume matches it. On LinkedIn, Indeed and Glassdoor a "Track in TalorMe" button
sits beside "Tailor with TalorMe".
3. Autofill the application form, then log it.
After you autofill, an "Applied? Log it in TalorMe" link opens your tracker with
the job prefilled.
On Greenhouse, Lever, Workday and Ashby — the four systems that host most of
the forms people actually finish — TalorMe fills your name, email, phone,
location and profile links from details you save once in the extension popup.
4. Open an application from TalorMe with your saved answers beside it.
If you opt in on talorme.com (Settings, Application answers), TalorMe's "Open
application" button opens the employer's form and the extension shows a small
"Your saved answers (TalorMe)" panel: desired salary, notice period, start date
and the screening facts you saved, each with a Copy button. It also fills your
contact fields. The panel only copies when you press Copy. You paste, you answer,
you submit.
5. Fill your resume's work history, education, skills and certifications on a form,
one section at a time, when you press its button (opt-in on talorme.com).
If you separately turn on "Also fill my work history, education, skills and
certifications from the resume for that job" in TalorMe Settings, the panel
shows up to four buttons: Fill work history, Fill education, Fill skills, Fill
certifications. Nothing is written into the form until you press a button, and
each button fills only its own section, from the resume attached to that
application. On Workday it may press that section's own "Add" button to create
the entries your resume has (at most 10) and tells you when it did. The fill
works from the form's standard field names and labels and is best effort: a
form it doesn't recognise is left untouched and you are told.
WHAT IT DELIBERATELY DOES NOT DO
- It never submits an application. Nothing in this extension clicks a submit
button. You review every form and send it yourself.
- It never answers a question for you. Screening questions, cover-letter boxes
and anything requiring judgement are left alone.
- It never overwrites something you already typed. If a field has your text in
it, TalorMe skips it, including when you fill a resume section.
- It never uploads your resume file, and never selects a dropdown, radio or
checkbox option unless the option's text is exactly your resume's value.
- It never sends your data anywhere. Your autofill details are stored on this
device using Chrome's local storage and are not transmitted to TalorMe or to
anyone else. The extension makes no network requests at all.
- Your saved answers are never typed into a form. The "Your saved answers" panel
only copies to the clipboard when you press Copy. Resume sections (work history,
education, skills, certifications) are the one thing it writes into a form beyond
your contact details, and only for the section whose button you press.
WHERE IT WORKS
Job pages with buttons: LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor
Application forms: Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, Ashby
Any other job page: only when you click the toolbar icon or the right-click entry
TalorMe asks for standing access to those eight sites. For every other page it uses
only the one-click permission Chrome grants when you click the extension.
WHAT YOU NEED
A free TalorMe account at talorme.com for the tailoring itself. The autofill works
on its own, with or without an account.
