The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About TailSnap — Tailwind & React Component Inspector
Seeing a layout you like and rebuilding it by hand is an afternoon. TailSnap
turns it into a click.
Point at any element on any website. TailSnap reads how it is actually built and
hands back a component in your stack — React, HTML, Vue or Svelte — with real
Tailwind CSS classes, sorted the way a person writes them rather than the order a
machine found them in.
WHAT COMES ACROSS
• Tailwind classes from the real palette — bg-slate-900, not bg-[#0f172a],
whenever a token exists
• Responsive breakpoints — md: and lg: recovered from the page's media queries,
not guessed from the width you happen to be viewing at
• Interaction states — hover:, focus-visible:, active:, disabled:, group-hover:
• Dark mode — dark: variants, read from the stylesheet
• CSS animations, converted to a Framer Motion layer
• Pseudo-elements — ::before and ::after, with the content-[''] Tailwind needs
• Repeated siblings collapsed into a .map() over a data array
Most tools read only getComputedStyle, which is a single snapshot at one window
width in one state. That cannot contain a hover rule or a breakpoint, so those
tools cannot return them. TailSnap parses the page's stylesheets as well, which
is where those rules actually live.
BEFORE YOU INSTALL — WHAT IT CANNOT DO
TailSnap reads CSS. Animations built in JavaScript — GSAP, scroll libraries, a
motion library running on the page itself — leave nothing behind in the
stylesheet, so no tool that reads a page from the outside can recover them.
Canvas and WebGL have no markup to read and are captured as an empty box.
It reproduces a design, not behaviour. State, data fetching and event handlers
are still yours to write.
It does not grant you rights to anyone else's design, brand, copy or images. Use
it to understand a layout and rebuild it in your own stack.

PRIVACY
No analytics. No telemetry. No tracking code of any kind.
Captures, settings and your library stay on your machine. The only things that
leave it are a licence check, and — only if you switch it on — cloud library
sync. The extension reads a page only after you invoke it on that page, and only
the element you pick.
