TabMind

Too many tabs open. Workspaces lost every time Chrome crashes. No idea where your time actually went this week. Sound familiar? TabMind fixes all three problems with a single, lightweight Chrome extension — no account, no cloud, no subscription. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ What TabMind does ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🗂️ Auto-Group Tabs One click sorts every open tab into color-coded Chrome tab groups: Dev, Work, Social, Media, Mail, Shopping, and Other. Powered by 30+ built-in URL pattern rules — no setup, no training, no tagging. 💾 Save & Restore Sessions Save any set of tabs as a named workspace ("Morning Research", "Q2 Planning", "Vacation Research") and bring them all back in one click. Perfect for context-switching between projects or picking up where you left off after a Chrome restart. ⏱️ Passive Time Tracker TabMind quietly measures how long you actually spend on each domain, week by week. No manual timers. No start/stop buttons. It just runs — and resets automatically every Monday. 🔍 Search Sessions Real-time search across every saved session. Start typing and the list filters instantly by session name — useful once you have a few dozen saved. ☁️ Cross-Device Sync Sessions sync through Chrome's built-in sync storage, so the workspace you saved on your laptop is already there on your desktop. No account setup, no separate login — if you're signed into Chrome, it just works. 📊 Weekly Report A full dashboard page shows your total time tracked, top sites, time by category (as a clean bar chart), and every session you've saved. Sortable tables. Expandable session rows. Dark theme throughout. 📤 Export Your Data Download everything as JSON (for backups or migration) or as a Markdown weekly report (great for reviews and journaling). Your data stays yours. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ How to use ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 1. Pin TabMind to your toolbar from the Chrome puzzle-piece menu. 2. Click the TabMind icon and hit "Auto-Group Tabs" — your tabs instantly organize themselves into colored groups. 3. Type a name and click "Save" to store the current tab set as a session you can reopen any time. 4. Click "Open Report →" to see your weekly time breakdown, top sites, and every session — plus export your data as JSON or Markdown. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Privacy first ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ✓ No data leaves your device. Ever. (Sessions use Chrome's own sync storage — the same mechanism Chrome uses for your bookmarks.) ✓ No accounts. No sign-up. No email required. ✓ No analytics. No telemetry. No tracking pixels. ✓ No ads. No upsells. No "pro" tier. ✓ Open source. You can read every line of code — it's all vanilla JavaScript with zero external dependencies. TabMind makes no network requests of any kind. It only reads what it needs (tab URLs, tab titles) and only writes to Chrome's local and sync storage APIs. That's it.
