The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Table to Markdown: Paste & Convert
Table to Markdown & CSV converter. Paste a table, copy the result out
Table to Markdown turns any table you can copy into clean, portable
output. Paste it in, pick a format, copy the result out. Copy a
table from a web page, a spreadsheet, Google Docs, Notion, or
Confluence with a plain Ctrl+C, paste it into the popup, and get a
GitHub-Flavored Markdown table or CSV instantly.
Works the other way too: flip the direction toggle to Markdown to
Table, paste (or type) a Markdown table from a README, a spec doc,
or an AI-generated answer, and get it back as CSV instantly, or
(premium) TSV/JSON/HTML.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Zero access to your browsing: no content scripts, no host
permissions. It cannot read your open tabs or the page. Every
byte of parsing and formatting happens locally, inside the
popup. The table you paste never leaves your browser. This
extension collects no data of any kind: no analytics, no
tracking, no telemetry. The only network traffic it ever makes
is checking your purchase status with ExtensionPay (this happens
each time you open the popup, so premium access always reflects
your current status), plus opening ExtensionPay's hosted checkout
if you choose to upgrade.
FREE, AND GENUINELY USEFUL
- Paste a table (from a Ctrl+C copy of any rendered HTML table)
and get a correctly-formatted GitHub-Flavored Markdown table,
with pipe-escaping and automatic column alignment (numeric
columns right-align).
- Merged cells handled correctly: colspan/rowspan are flattened
so the output grid is always clean and rectangular. No
ragged rows, no missing cells.
- CSV output with proper quote-escaping for commas, quotes, and
embedded newlines.
- Header-row toggle, for tables where auto-detection guesses
wrong.
- No HTML table on the clipboard? Paste tab- or comma-delimited
plain text (a spreadsheet copy, for instance) and it still
parses into a clean table.
- Markdown → Table, free: paste a GitHub-Flavored Markdown pipe
table and get it back as CSV; it handles escaped pipes and
backslashes, ragged rows, and tables with or without a header
row, correctly.
- Copy the result with one click; your last-used direction,
format, and theme (light/dark/system) are remembered between
sessions.
PREMIUM ($5 one-time)
For anyone converting tables regularly:
- Extra output formats, BOTH directions: TSV, JSON (array of
objects keyed by your header row, or array of arrays without
one), and clean semantic HTML, for pasting into rich-text
editors that don't accept Markdown. Applies to Table → Markdown
AND to the Markdown → Table inverse direction.
- Multi-table batch paste: paste a whole page with several
tables (a wiki page, a long spec) and convert every table in
one pass instead of just the first.
- Saved format presets: name and save a bundle of output
settings (format, delimiter, alignment, escaping) and
re-apply it in one click next time.
No subscription, no account required. Pay once, keep the
features.
Instead of hand-typing Markdown pipes or wrestling a spreadsheet
export, this is one popup that turns any table you can copy into
the format you actually need, and turns a Markdown table right
back into one, too. It never asks to see what's on your
screen.
