Tabiary: Auto Tab Backup & Restore

Tabiary backs up your tabs automatically and restores them the way they were: windows, pinned tabs and tab groups with their names and colours. If Chrome closes unexpectedly or an update goes wrong, you can go back to any earlier version. Tabiary does one job: it keeps those versions so that you can always return to them. HOW IT PROTECTS YOU • Saves by itself: whenever your tabs change, every few minutes, and when the browser starts. • Versions, never overwrites: every save is a new version. A half-empty window after a crash can never replace the full session before it. • Verified writes: a version only counts after it is fully written and its checksum is checked. Interrupted saves are cleaned up on the next start. • Data that survives updates: the storage format is versioned and every change ships with a tested migration. ABOUT THE "READ YOUR BROWSING HISTORY" WARNING To back up your tabs, the extension has to read their addresses and titles, and Chrome describes that permission with this warning. Tabiary does not use Chrome's history API and sends nothing anywhere: there is no server to send it to. GOOD TO KNOW • Restoring opens the saved windows next to what you have open. Nothing is closed. Only the active tab of each window loads; the others load when you click them. • Incognito windows are never recorded. • If you uninstall the extension, its in-browser history is removed by Chrome. Export your history to a file first if you want to keep it; the file can be imported again. • Works in English and Spanish.
