About Tabhelm

Tabhelm connects an AI agent to your real, logged-in Chrome so it can test web apps, read pages behind a login, fill forms and debug front-end problems. How it works • Install the extension, then run `npx tabhelm-mcp install` once. It adds a local MCP server to Cursor so Cursor's agent gets browser tools: open tabs, navigate, click, type, take screenshots, read the page and its accessibility tree, read console and network activity, run JavaScript, upload files, record GIFs. • Or click the toolbar icon for a built-in side-panel chat. It can use the Cursor CLI you are already logged in to (no API key), or your own Anthropic / OpenAI-compatible key. You stay in control • The agent only works in its own tab group. Your other tabs are never touched. • Per-site permissions: allow once, always allow, or block. "Ask before acting" mode asks before any submit, purchase or delete. • A visible bar on controlled tabs with a Stop button that cancels everything immediately. • It never types into password or payment fields and never solves CAPTCHAs. Page content is treated as data, never as instructions. • No servers, no analytics, no tracking. Everything stays on your computer except what you send to the AI provider you choose. Unofficial: not affiliated with or endorsed by Cursor/Anysphere, Anthropic, Google or OpenAI.
