The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Tabby
Tabby helps you stay on top of tab overload without losing anything important.
When you switch away from a tab and don't come back to it, Tabby shows a small, unobtrusive prompt asking: "Still need this tab?" You can:
Keep it open
Close it
Save it for later, and tag WHY you saved it (Read this, Buy this, Research this, Finish this, Send this, Prospect this, or your own custom categories)
Everything you save shows up in a simple popup, organized by category, so your "unfinished tabs" become an actual list you can come back to, not just more tabs cluttering your window. Categories are fully customizable. Rename, remove, or add your own from the popup's settings.
Tabby also periodically checks ALL your open tabs, across every window, for ones you haven't looked at in a while, catching the tabs that would otherwise sit forgotten in a window you never switch back to. You choose what times of day it checks, and how many hours of inactivity counts as "forgotten."
Tabby can also generate a Daily Recap, a short summary of your day's browsing plus a follow-up checklist for tomorrow, using Chrome's built-in, on-device AI. This runs entirely on your own computer; nothing about your browsing is ever sent anywhere. You can ask follow-up questions about your recap directly in the popup ("why did I save that tab again?"), answered by the same on-device AI. You can also add selected follow-up items to Google Calendar. Each becomes its own all-day event titled with that specific task, with a manual confirmation step on Google's own page. Tabby never touches your Google account directly.
Key features:
Only triggers the immediate prompt when switching tabs within the same Chrome window, never when you switch to another window, another app, or another monitor
Mute any site you don't want to be asked about again
Fully customizable save-for-later categories
Fully configurable scan schedule and forgotten-tab threshold
Optional on-device daily recap with per-task calendar follow-up and chat-style follow-up questions
All your data stays on your device, nothing is ever sent anywhere
