The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About TabAla
Tired of hoarding tabs you'll "check later"?
TabAla is a waiting room for your links — not permanent bookmarks, but an organized buffer you actually get through, at your own pace, without cluttering your browser.
How it works:
Save the current tab with one click (or a keyboard shortcut) and organize it into collections. Every new tab then suggests what to open next. Done with a link? Mark it completed and it leaves the board.
Why TabAla?
→ You open 30 tabs while researching and don't want to lose any
→ Someone sends you links you need to read later
→ You're studying and want to organize materials by topic
→ You save everything and never get back to it
Key features:
• Now — Each new tab opens on one suggestion of what to read next, with the time it takes and the next ones beside it
• Focus — A timed session of 15, 30 or 60 minutes over your collections. A started session follows you across tabs
• Completed, not deleted — Finished links leave the board and stay in your history, with undo. You can also snooze a link or mark it as reference
• Triage — Links untouched for months, skipped again and again or snoozed too often come back one at a time: still worth it, discard, reference or already done
• Command palette — Search every workspace, run commands and act on a link (open, complete, snooze, move) without leaving the keyboard
• Search by topic (optional) — Chrome's on-device translator lets a search in your language find links titled in English
• Kanban-style board — See all your collections side by side with drag-and-drop
• Workspaces — Separate contexts like Work, Study, and Personal into independent spaces (up to 12)
• Automatic Inbox — Links saved without a collection go to Inbox. Deleted a collection? Its links move back there
• Open tabs — See the tabs open in your browser from the side rail and drag them in to save
• Tab groups → Collections — Convert an entire tab group into a collection with one click
• Light and dark themes — Pick your style or follow your system theme
• New Tab replacement — Use TabAla as your new tab page (optional)
Your data, your rules:
✓ No server — Links, usage and search all stay in your browser
✓ No tracking — Zero analytics, zero telemetry
✓ Learning you control — TabAla notices which saved links you open, and for how long, to suggest what's next. Turn it off and clear that data in Settings
✓ You own your data — Always exportable, never locked in
✓ Open source — Apache 2.0 license
Keyboard shortcuts:
• / or Ctrl+K (⌘K on Mac) — Search and commands
• N — New collection
• F — Focus
• T — Open tabs
• Esc — Close
Perfect for:
• Students organizing research materials
• Developers managing documentation
• Self-learners collecting resources
• Anyone who hoards tabs to "check later"
TabAla stays small and fast. No accounts, no ads, nothing to sign up for.
Save. Organize. Process when you want.
