SyncParty – Watch Together in Sync

Far apart but still want to watch together? SyncParty lets you and up to 7 friends play the same video on your own computers, and keeps play, pause, seeking and episode changes in sync. It's not screen sharing: the video plays on your own computer in full quality and uses almost no bandwidth. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ▶ Automatic sync ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • Anyone can play, pause, seek or change the playback speed, and everyone follows • Press "next episode" (or let it autoplay) and everyone moves on together • Open a different video, even on another site, and everyone comes along • Corrects itself every second with clock sync and gentle speed adjustments, usually within 50 ms and without stutter ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 👥 Rooms for up to 8 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • Up to 8 people per room; the chat shows who's in the room • The host is marked with 👑, and you can see at a glance who's watching an ad (📺) or has stepped away (🚶) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 💬 Chat, animated stickers & bullet comments ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • A chat window next to the video, also visible in full screen • 20 original animated "Mochi" stickers — tap to send, tap again for more • When the chat is minimized, messages fly across the video as bullet comments. You see your own too, even when you're alone in the room • Bullet comments can scroll or stay fixed; size, color (including rainbow), speed and opacity are set by the sender ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🔔 Helpful notices ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • If someone closes their browser or loses connection, you're notified within about 8 seconds and the video pauses; they reconnect automatically when they're back • If someone is watching an ad, everyone pauses and resumes together when it's over • "Step away": grabbing a drink? One tap pauses everyone, and you all resume when you're back ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🏠 Remembers where you left off ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • Remembers your last room — one tap to rejoin • "Recently watched" remembers the minute you stopped at; one tap to resume • Set a nickname; remove single items from "Recently watched" or clear them all • Available in English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🚀 How to use ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 1. Everyone installs SyncParty 2. One person opens the video page, clicks the extension icon → "Create a room", and shares the 6-character code 3. Friends enter the code → "Join room" and jump straight to the same video, in sync ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🔒 Privacy ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • No account needed • Playback commands and chat messages travel directly between the room members' browsers (WebRTC, encrypted). We don't run servers that store your content • Settings, chat history and watch history stay in your own browser ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🌐 Supported sites ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Works on most popular video and short-video sites. On other sites, just click the extension icon on the video page to use it in that tab. 📌 Good to know • Everyone needs to be able to watch the video on their own (for example, signed in to their own account) • Works on sites with a standard web video player; some DRM-protected sites may not sync seeking • A few strict office or school networks may block peer-to-peer connections • Works in Chrome and Microsoft Edge (Windows and Mac)
