The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Switchy — Tab Switcher
Switchy brings ⌘Tab to your Chrome tabs.
Press ⌘⇧ and a small panel shows your most recently used tabs, with the one you were just on already highlighted. Keep holding ⌘ and press ⇧ again to move along. Let go to jump there. A quick ⌘⇧ tap flips straight back to your last tab, so bouncing between two tabs takes one keystroke.
WHAT YOU GET
• Recently used order, just like ⌘Tab (or tab-strip order, if you prefer)
• Tabs from every window, or only the one you're in
• Search: keep the panel open, type to filter every tab, press Return
• Close tabs right from the panel
• Cards (⌘Tab style) or a list, three sizes, light and dark themes
• Your own shortcut: record a modifier pair like ⌘⇧ or ⌃⌥, or a combo like ⌥Tab
• A backup shortcut (⇧⌘Space on Mac, Alt+Q on Windows and Linux) that also works on the new tab page and Chrome's own pages
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Switchy runs entirely on your computer. It has no accounts, no analytics and makes no network requests. Your tabs never leave your browser.
