The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Switchboard
Switchboard reads what you're about to ask and tells you which AI fits better before you start typing — Claude or ChatGPT, which mode (chat, Claude Code, Cowork, or a design artifact), which model, and how much effort to ask for. Then it copies your task and opens the right place.
Mid-conversation and want to switch platforms? Switchboard reads the visible thread, condenses it, and hands you a ready-to-paste continuation on the other side — routing recommendation included.
It also merges what Claude and ChatGPT each remember about you into one file on your device, and re-syncs it any time either side changes.
Everything above runs locally. Switchboard has no backend and no account — your data is stored in chrome.storage.local on your own device. Local rule-based routing is free and works out of the box. If you want routing classified by a real model instead of keyword matching, add your own Anthropic API key in Settings — it's sent straight from your browser to Anthropic, never through us.
Free forever.
