About SWGBar Website Check
SWGBar Website Check brings your local SWGBar observations into the Chrome toolbar. See whether the domain you are visiting has evidence of Secure Web Gateway (SWG) TLS inspection.
Requires SWGBar 1.7.1 or later on an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 14 or later, and Chrome 120 or later. Install the compatible companion first, open its Plugins tab, then pin this extension to the Chrome toolbar. The extension communicates only with the companion on the same Mac through Chrome Native Messaging. No account, pairing code or cloud relay is needed.
As you browse, the toolbar icon displays inspection recorded, possible inspection, no signs of inspection, or unable to determine. Click it when a matching domain observation is available to see one of four domain-detail states: Public, Confirmed, Suspected or Unknown. Details include the observed target address, network interface, connection method, request count, observation time and certificate trust.
The extension reads existing local evidence; it does not inject page scripts, change your network, run new probes or upload browsing activity. Domains that have not been observed by the companion have no detail popup. Results reflect the companion's independent observations and do not prove whether the current Chrome connection is intercepted or safe.
Supports English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean using Chrome's interface language. Source code and companion information: https://swgbar.com/
