About Sukat Inspector — Image Audit

Audit every image on any page in seconds. Sukat Inspector reports dimensions, file size, format, and missing alt text, then hands oversized images to sukatapp.com for one-click compression. Built for SEO, Core Web Vitals work, and anyone who's ever wondered why a page is slow. Image files never pass through a Sukat server: they travel from the image's host to your browser to the Sukat tab. Free and ad-free. WHAT IT DOES - One-click page-wide image audit: dimensions, on-page size, file size, format, alt text - Flags oversized images (larger than how they're displayed, the kind that hurt Largest Contentful Paint), heavy files (over 1 MB, adjustable in Settings), files over 100 KB, upscaled images, broken images and missing alt text - Rescan without reloading: scroll so lazy images load, rescan, and see what's new, what got its real size, and what's gone - Hover any result row to highlight the matching image on the page - Filter by issue or image format, and search by filename or alt text - Weight view: a map of which images make up the page's weight - Suggested alt text from each image's title or filename, plus on-device AI descriptions where Chrome supports it - Social & SEO check: og:image, Twitter/X image, favicons and app icons, with wrong-shape, too-small and broken warnings, plus live previews of your Facebook, LinkedIn and X cards - Check a URL list: paste image URLs one per line to see which are on the page, which aren't, and which lines are invalid - CSV export for SEO audits and client reports - Works in the popup or in Chrome's side panel ONE-CLICK COMPRESSION VIA SUKAT - Per-image "Compress" or "Resize" sends a single image to sukatapp.com at the size the page needs - "Optimise" sends every flagged image in view to Sukat in a single tab - Send the matches from a URL list check straight to Sukat - Right-click any image, anywhere on the web, and choose "Compress with Sukat": Original, or Page-displayed to resize to how it appears on the page PRIVACY Image files travel from the image's host to your browser to the Sukat tab, never through a Sukat server. The image's web address is included in the link that opens Sukat so it knows which image to load. No account. No sign-up. No ads. WHO IT'S FOR WordPress developers, SEOs, Core Web Vitals auditors, designers reviewing client sites, anyone who needs to fix a slow page fast. Works on any website. WHAT'S NEW v1.3.3 See what Sukat loaded. After you send images, a strip at the top of the panel shows how many Sukat loaded and why any failed, with one-click retry. If the panel is closed, the toolbar icon shows the result. v1.3.2 Rescan without reloading. A new button re-reads the page as it is right now, so images that lazy-loaded while you scrolled are counted, and your scroll position is kept. A banner shows what changed: new images, images that now show their real size, and any no longer on the page. Check a URL list. Paste image URLs, one per line. Sukat Inspector shows which are on the page, which aren't (with a hint why) and which lines are invalid, then sends the matches to Sukat in one go. Tighter security. The connection Sukat uses to load images through the extension now only returns images, and only reaches your local network for images you sent from the extension. v1.2.2 Responsive images now show their on-page size. Images delivered through <picture> report the dimensions they actually render at, so you can see at a glance which ones are oversized. Hover-to-locate is more reliable. Hovering a row now finds and highlights lazy-loaded and deferred-rendering images by scrolling them into view first; images that aren't rendered at all are flagged clearly instead of doing nothing.
