About SubVibe - AI Subtitle Translator
Watch any video in your language. SubVibe adds AI subtitles to a video and keeps
them perfectly timed to the player, with a karaoke highlight that lights up each
word as it's spoken — and it can speak the translation aloud, in real time,
while you watch.
Bring your own API key (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google). Everything runs directly
from your browser to the provider you choose — no SubVibe servers, no account,
no tracking. Translated videos are cached on your device, so replays are free.
Two ways to follow a video
• Subtitles — reads the video's own caption track and translates ahead of the
playhead, so lines land exactly on time. Show a second language beside the
original for learning.
• Live Translate — hear the video in your language as it plays, powered by
Google Gemini. You bring your own key; casual everyday listening is low-cost,
and it works across 70+ languages.
More of what it does
• Karaoke word highlight — follow along word by word as it's spoken, built for
language learners
• Make it yours — style presets plus full control of font, size, color, and
position; drag the subtitles anywhere. Styling and karaoke also work on the
video's own original captions, with no translation and no cost — handy for
learners, or just to resync captions to the picture.
• Bring your own key — nothing is billed by SubVibe; you pay your provider
directly, usually cents an hour
• Sync dock for time-shifted live streams; recorded videos stay frame-exact
automatically
• Local library and cache — every translated video is saved on your device;
replays are instant and free
• Cost meter — see what today's watching actually cost
Where it works
SubVibe runs right inside the player on the streaming services, public
broadcasters, and online-course sites it supports, with more on the way. On
every other page it stays completely inactive.
Privacy
Your keys and your cache never leave your device. Subtitle and audio text is
sent only to the AI provider you configured, with your own key. No analytics,
no tracking, no middleman. Full policy: see the Privacy link on this page.
