About SubNaru - Video Subtitle Translator

SubNaru translates existing video subtitles. Display translated captions or the original and translation together. Supports exposed ASS, WebVTT and SRT subtitle files and compatible HTML video tracks. Choose among 14 target language/region options and adjust text size, background and position. To start, open SubNaru, select a language, enable translation and save. Translation is off by default. Subtitle text is sent to Google over HTTPS; settings and expiring subtitle caches stay on your device. Local resource URLs are inspected only to find subtitles; no browsing-history database, click/keystroke logging or GPS is used. Providers receive network IP addresses. Free; no subscription or API key. Does not generate subtitles from audio or guarantee every site, DRM player or native picture-in-picture mode. Translation may be rate limited or unavailable.
