The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About StudyLens – Word Highlighter & Focus Mode
StudyLens highlights the words you care about on every page you read.
Create a list, add your terms, pick a color — and they appear marked automatically on any site you visit. No account, no sign-up, no server.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Build unlimited lists, each with its own background color, text color, font and style (bold, italic, underline, outline)
• Focus mode — dims the entire page except the paragraphs that contain your terms, so you read only what matters
• Right-click any selected text to add it to a list instantly
• A counter on the toolbar icon shows how many matches are on the current page
• Turn lists on or off individually, or block them on specific sites
• Share a list with a classmate through a short text code — the other person needs no account either
• Import and export everything as a JSON file
• Dark and light theme, Spanish and English interface
WHO IT IS FOR
Students learning vocabulary in another language. Researchers tracking terminology across papers. Professionals scanning long documents for the terms that matter to them.
PRIVACY
StudyLens does not collect, transmit or sell any data. Your lists are stored by your own browser and sync across your devices through your Google account — we never see them. There is no backend and no analytics.
WHY IT ASKS FOR ACCESS TO ALL SITES
The whole purpose is to mark your terms on any page you open, so the extension needs to read the text of the pages you visit. It reads that text only to find your own terms. Nothing is stored, sent or shared.
Every feature is included. Nothing is locked behind a payment.
