About Study Stash for Canvas
Study Stash for Canvas copies your Canvas courses into your own Study Stash library, so what's due, your assignments and feedback, modules, files and announcements sit next to your lecture notes.
It works with Study Stash, a free, open-source app for Mac and Windows that records your lectures and writes study notes from them on your own computer. The extension does nothing without the app. Get it here: https://study-stash-app.web.app
WHAT IT BRINGS IN
• Everything due across your classes, on one calendar
• Each assignment's instructions and rubric
• Your submissions and your instructor's feedback
• Modules, pages, files and announcements
HOW TO CONNECT IT
1. Add the extension, then click its button (it may be under the puzzle-piece Extensions button).
2. Paste the code Study Stash shows you and click Connect.
3. Click Allow when Chrome asks. It asks for exactly three sites: your school's Canvas, Canvas's file storage, and your own Study Stash library.
Canvas then syncs about once an hour while your browser is open.
WHAT IT DOES AND DOESN'T DO
• It only reads. Nothing on Canvas is changed, submitted or handed in.
• It uses the Canvas sign-in you already have in this browser. It never sees your password and never reads your cookies.
• What it reads goes to your own Study Stash library, on a computer you control, and nowhere else. No analytics, no ads, nothing sent to us.
• It does nothing until you connect it, and it can reach only the three sites you allowed.
