Stream Danmaku Overlay

An extension that lets you keep up with live chat without taking your eyes off the stream. While watching YouTube Live or Twitch, you no longer need to open the native chat panel or switch between windows — you can stay focused on the stream itself while still following the comments. ■ Recommended for - Anyone watching in fullscreen who doesn't have room to check the chat panel - Anyone half-watching a stream who just wants to catch the highlights of the chat - Anyone who likes the "danmaku" scrolling-comment style from Niconico Douga ■ Main features - Switch between two display styles: flowing danmaku-style or stacked native-chat-style - Freely adjust font size and comment opacity - Choose which side of the video the stacked style appears on - Works with YouTube Live streams and archives (chat replay), and Twitch live streams and VODs - Works in fullscreen and theater mode - Built with vanilla TypeScript/CSS only — no external libraries, lightweight by design - English popup UI is coming in a future update. ■ About privacy This extension only stores your display settings (on/off, font size, etc.) locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local). It never sends chat content or personal information to any external server. No ads or analytics are included. ■ Screenshots The stream footage used in the screenshots is used with credit to gon_vl. - https://www.twitch.tv/gon_vl - https://www.twitch.tv/gon_vl/clip/FuriousAlertTofuSoBayed-zvGWQo2eSK3wJsDi ■ Open source The source code is available on GitHub. https://github.com/egachan3/Stream-danmaku-overlay ■ Found a bug?
