About Streal: Learn a Language on Netflix, A1 to C2
You already watch in the language. It still isn't sticking.
You switch the subtitles to the language you are learning, hold on for ten minutes, understand a third of it, and quietly switch back. Or you finish a two year streak on a vocabulary app and still understand one sentence in five of an actual episode. The missing piece was never more words. It was an order to learn them in, and real speech to meet them in.
What Streal is
Streal is a structured language course that uses Netflix as its example bank. You learn a rule in a proper lesson, then you meet that same rule in lines people actually say on screen, with the title and the timecode. One click opens Netflix at that exact second.
How it works
Learn. A real lesson: explanation, tables, examples, the mistakes most learners make, and a quiz at the end. Around nine minutes. Then the next one, which builds on it.
Meet it for real. Every lesson ends with catalogue lines that use the rule you just studied, each with its title and timecode.
Let the film revise. While you watch, Streal knows what your course has already covered and points out those notions in the dialogue as they pass.
What is inside
32 chapters from A1 to C2, in order, each ending on a chapter test
160 lessons per language, roughly nine minutes each, every one with its own quiz
3 course languages: English, French and Spanish, all three complete
5,600+ real film lines mapped to the grammar they contain, with timecodes
400+ films and series indexed line by line
Dual subtitles: the line you hear plus its translation in your language, at the same time
Click any word in the subtitles for its meaning inside that sentence, saved with the second it was spoken
End-of-film reviews, plus a downloadable PDF revision sheet of the words you saved
Sign in with Google and your vocabulary, level and progress follow you to another computer
Who it is for
People who watch Netflix in a foreign language and want that time to actually count. It works from zero, because the path starts at your first words, and it still works at B2 or C1, where the value is meeting known grammar in real dialogue rather than textbook sentences.
Honest limits, before you install
You need your own Netflix subscription. Streal never stores, downloads or redistributes any video. It reads the subtitle text displayed on the page, nothing else.
Netflix subtitles must exist in the language you are learning, and you turn them on in the player yourself.
The complete A1 to C2 path exists in English, French and Spanish. In other languages (German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Russian, Polish), you still get the subtitle tutor, click to translate and saved vocabulary, but there are no lessons yet.
Learning a language takes months of regular work. Streal organises that work, it does not shorten it.
Pricing
Chapter 1 of A1 is free in full: its lessons, its quizzes and the chapter test. No card, no account needed to start. The free plan also includes live subtitles, click to translate, up to 10 saved words per month and 2 end-of-film reviews per month.
