Streak Counter

Streak Counter is a private habit tracker that measures how long you've gone without visiting the websites you're trying to quit — and shows you, in hard numbers, whether you're actually improving. It is not a website blocker. It never stops a page from loading and it never nags. It watches quietly, restarts your timer when you slip, and hands you the data. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHY IT'S DIFFERENT ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ◆ Autonomy, not handcuffs Blockers make the decision for you, so you never find out whether you'd have made it on your own. Streak Counter leaves the choice where it belongs and keeps an honest record of what you chose. ◆ Your data never leaves your machine No account. No sign-up. No sync server. Your monitored list and streak history live in your browser's local storage and nowhere else. ◆ Decisions that stick Adding a site takes effect instantly. Removing one — or weakening your settings — takes 24 hours. That delay is the feature: it protects the setup you made when you were thinking clearly from the version of you at 2am. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FEATURES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ THE STREAK ENGINE • Live timer down to the second • A binary counter — your streak in ones and zeros — with your personal best shown faded above it, so the record you're chasing is always on screen • 12 milestones, from your first hour to a full year • Live rank against every streak you've ever run • A 10×10 percentile grid placing this run against your own history • Toolbar badge showing your current streak, and a popup with the timer, your next milestone, and a one-click reset HISTORY & ANALYTICS • Sortable, searchable leaderboard of every past run, with durations and triggers • Slip heatmap across every month you've tracked — click any past day to log a reset you forgot • Clean-time averages charted monthly, quarterly or yearly • Export everything to JSON or CSV, any time WEEKLY RISK MAP (Premium) Find out when you actually slip. Every past reset is weighted by how recent it was and mapped across a day-of-week × 3-hour grid, with a success probability for the window you're in right now. GHOST MODE (Premium) Your digital janitor. Clears browser history entries for your monitored sites only — manually, or hourly, daily or weekly — so old triggers stop autocompleting in your address bar. It doesn't block anything. It cleans up afterwards. PRIVACY GUARD Set a passcode to hide your monitored site list and your trigger URLs from anyone sharing your screen or borrowing your laptop. Stored as a salted PBKDF2 hash, never as plain text. MAKE IT YOURS Six themes including a system-matching mode, notifications you can switch off entirely, keyboard shortcuts, and a reduced-motion setting. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FREE FOR FOUR MONTHS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Every premium feature is unlocked free for your first 120 days. No card, no trial sign-up — install it and everything works. After that the core streak tracker stays free forever; Ghost Mode, the Weekly Risk Map and the premium themes need an upgrade. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHO IT'S FOR ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Anyone cutting back on a site-driven habit: • Adult sites and recovery streaks • Social media — X, Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook • News, doomscrolling and outrage loops • Online shopping, betting and browser games • Any domain you name yourself If you've installed a blocker before and uninstalled it at 2am, this is the opposite approach. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ PRIVACY & PERMISSIONS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Your habit data is never collected, viewed or transmitted. Plainly, what each permission is for: • Site access (all URLs) — to read the hostname of the page you're on and compare it against your list. Page content is never read, and nothing is recorded for sites you haven't added. • History — used only by Ghost Mode, to delete entries for domains you chose. Your history is never read for any other purpose and never leaves your device. • Notifications — the optional reset and milestone alerts. Turn them off and nothing is sent. • Storage — your streaks and settings, on this device. Two things touch the network, both optional and both obvious: licence verification with our payment provider if you upgrade, and the feedback box in Settings if you choose to send a message. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FAQ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Does it block websites? No. A page never fails to load. Streak Counter records the visit and restarts your timer. What if I open a site by accident? A cooldown — two hours by default — means repeat visits in the same sitting count as one slip, not several. A manual reset can be undone straight away. Does it work in Incognito? Only if you allow it in chrome://extensions. It can't see what it isn't permitted to see. Is my streak stored online? No. It lives in your browser's local storage, so uninstalling clears it. Export a backup first if it matters to you. Can I track something other than adult sites? Yes. The list is entirely yours — add any domain you like. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Install Streak Counter and start owning your data. Subscription: Premium unlocks Ghost Mode, the Weekly Risk Map and the premium themes. Subscriptions renew automatically and can be managed or cancelled at any time from the billing portal in Settings.
