About Storage Lens

Inspect, export and clear site storage, and modify HTTP request and response headers. StorageLens gives developers and privacy-conscious users visibility and control over website storage, with tools for testing headers without changing application code. ────────────────────────────────────── 🔍 WHAT IS STORAGE LENS? ────────────────────────────────────── Websites store information in your browser through cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB and caches. StorageLens lets you inspect, search, export and manage that data. Use the Headers panel to set or remove request and response headers, save testing profiles, and apply modifications to matching URLs and resource types. ────────────────────────────────────── ✨ FEATURES ────────────────────────────────────── 📊 STORAGE INSPECTOR - Inspect storage from the active page, including accessible third-party iframe origins. - Browse Local Storage, Session Storage, Cookies, IndexedDB and Cache Storage. - View storage entries in aligned checkbox, key and value tables. - Local Storage, Session Storage and Cookies start collapsed, with one category expanded at a time. - Automatically decode supported URL-encoded, double-encoded, Base64 and JSON values. - Switch between decoded and raw values. 🗑️ DELETE SELECTED ENTRIES - Select individual entries across Local Storage, Session Storage and Cookies. - Use table-header checkboxes to select all eligible visible entries. - Keep selections when switching storage categories or searching. - Review a confirmation dialog before deleting. - Delete only selected entries within the inspected origin and permitted cookie scope. - Automatically refresh the list and display success or error messages. - Entries with ambiguous cookie scopes are unavailable for selected deletion. 🔧 MODIFY HTTP HEADERS - Set or remove HTTP request and response headers. - Test headers such as Authorisation, Cookie, Content-Security-Policy and custom headers. - Enable or disable individual rules. - Pause or resume header modifications from the toolbar. - Automatically fill the URL filter with the current page’s domain when opening the extension. - Filter modifications by URL and resource type, including pages, Fetch/XHR, scripts and images. - Create separate profiles for projects or testing environments. - Apply one selected profile at a time. - Import and export profiles as JSON. - Save rules to keep them active after closing the popup. - Reload the target page to test matching new requests. 🔎 GLOBAL SEARCH - Search across inspected storage types. - Highlight matching keys and values. - Display match counts by category and origin. - Hide categories without matching results. - Clear the search to restore the full list. ➕ ADD STORAGE ENTRIES - Add localStorage, sessionStorage and cookie entries directly from the extension. - Configure cookie path and expiry. - Validate entries before writing. - Automatically refresh storage after adding. 🎯 SELECTIVE CLEAR - Choose which storage types to clear. - Select Browser Cache and Cache Storage. - Select Local Storage, Session Storage, IndexedDB, Cookies, Service Workers and File Systems. - Remember your selections between sessions. 📤 EXPORT TO CSV - Export selected storage categories to a CSV file. - Include Type, Origin, Key and Value columns. - Automatically name exports using the hostname and date. - Share storage snapshots for debugging and testing. 📌 SIDE PANEL VIEW - Right-click a page or the extension icon and select Open Storage Lens side panel. - Access Inspector, Selective Clear and Headers alongside your page. - Refresh the inspected context when switching tabs or navigating. - Continue using the popup by left-clicking the extension icon. 🌗 DARK & LIGHT MODE - Switch between dark and light themes. - Apply the theme across storage tools and the Headers panel. - Save your theme preference automatically. ────────────────────────────────────── 👩‍💻 WHO IS IT FOR?
