The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Stoic Focus - Blocking Distractions with Inspiration
Stoic Focus helps you reclaim your browser-based attention with a simple idea: what if you could temporarily block distracting domains when trying to get your work done?
How it works:
1. Open the side panel by clicking the extension.
2. Add the domains you want to block (e.g. youtube.com, reddit.com, x.com).
3. Set a timer and start.
A few other points of focus:
•Blocked Domain Overlay: While the timer is running, visiting any blocked site replaces the page with a motivational overlay drawn from a curated set of Stoic/focus quotes. The quote rotates daily.
•Presets: save your common blocklists (e.g., "No Social Media", "No Email", "No Streaming") and enable them in one click.
•Side Panel UI: manage blocklists and timers alongside your browsing instead of in a popup that closes the moment you click away.
•Flexible Timers: 1 minute to 24 hours.
•Override Built In: the overlay has an Override button if you genuinely need to get to the site. All you need to do is type: "This is not a distraction".
Free, open, and built for people who'd rather change their environment than rely on willpower.
