About Stillpoint
Stillpoint replaces the new tab page with one you make your own: pick the widgets, put them where you want, and give the page your look.
LAY IT OUT YOUR WAY
• Place widgets anywhere on a grid, and drag or resize them with the mouse or the keyboard.
• The grid scales with the window, so the layout holds at any size.
• Press E on a new tab, or use the Edit layout button at the top, to start.
TWELVE WIDGETS
• Clock: any time zone, 12 or 24 hours
• World clocks: several cities at once, and how far ahead or behind each one is
• Date
• Calendar: this month at a glance, with week numbers if you like
• Countdown: the days, or hours and minutes, until a date
• Search: the search engine of your choice, or your own
• Links: your sites as tiles, with each site's own icon, and folders
• Weather: now and the next days, from Open-Meteo
• Quote: a built-in collection, or your own
• Stocks: a watchlist with your free Twelve Data key
• Notes: type straight onto the page
• To-do: a checklist you edit in place
ONE LOOK FOR THE WHOLE PAGE
• Four themes, and any colour, font, corner or shadow can be changed for the whole page at once.
• Stillpoint warns you when text would be hard to read on your background.
• Backgrounds: a colour or gradient, your own photo (blurred or dimmed if you like), or a photograph that changes every tab, hour or day, from Lorem Picsum or from Unsplash with your own key.
YOURS, AND PRIVATE
• No account, no server, no analytics. Nothing is ever sent to the developer.
• Settings stay on your device. Export and import them as a file, and keep several profiles.
• A new install makes no network requests. Features that contact a service (weather, web photos, stocks, link icons) do so only once you turn them on.
• Every request is listed in the privacy policy.
FAST
The page is drawn from a small cache before anything else loads, and nothing touches the network before the first frame.
