Sound Recorder records audio in your browser and keeps it on your device. What you can record Your microphone, for voice notes, interviews, classes or podcasts. The audio playing in a browser tab. Both at the same time, when you want your own voice together with the tab. What you get Export to MP3 or WAV, plus a WebM passthrough that skips the re-encoding. A local list of your recordings. Play, download or delete any of them. No account, no sign in, nothing uploaded. How it works The recorder runs in an offscreen document, so a recording keeps going after the popup closes. Recordings live in your browser profile only. About the sponsored overlays The extension may show a small sponsored overlay while you browse, delivered by Media IntelliView. Overlays are on by default and you can turn them off in the extension options at any time. While they are on, the only thing sent about the page is its hostname, plus a random install id. It never sends the full URL, the page content or your recordings. The overlay is drawn by the extension in its own closed shadow root, so the page is untouched.
