The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About SnapVanish for Google Meet
Need to step away from a call without the awkward "camera off" tile? Snap
your fingers. You fade out of your own room: everyone sees the room, just
without you, and your mic goes quiet. Snap again and you fade back in.
HOW IT WORKS
• Capture a photo of your empty room once, right from the Meet page.
• Snap to vanish. Snap to come back.
• Prefer a key? Alt+Shift+V does the same (customisable).
• A small pill at the top of Meet reminds you when you're hidden. Only you
see it.
REACTIONS
• Make a heart with both hands 🫶 and hearts float up your video.
• Thumbs up 👍 or thumbs down 👎 pops up a big thumb.
• Also sends the matching Meet reaction (can be turned off).
YOUR LOGO
• Add your logo to the top-right corner of your video.
TUNE IT TO YOUR ROOM
• Sensitivity slider, with a live readout of how each sharp sound scored.
• "Require a double snap" if claps or desk taps set it off.
• Choose whether your mic mutes while you're vanished.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Everything runs on your computer, in your browser, including the hand
tracking (Google's MediaPipe model ships inside the extension).
• No accounts, no analytics, no network requests, no remote code.
• Works only on meet.google.com.
Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave and other Chromium browsers, with Google Meet
in the browser. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
