Snapchat™ Video Spotlight for PC Watch public Snapchat Spotlight videos in Chrome's side panel. The extension brings vertical videos to your PC so you can watch while keeping your current webpage open. Content loads automatically when you open the panel, with no sign-in or open Snapchat tab required. 🎬 Features • A vertical video player with a dark design and yellow accents. Click a video to pause or resume it. • Browse with your mouse wheel, the up and down arrow keys, or the panel's navigation buttons, with transitions between videos. • Sound controls and a volume slider in the popup. Your settings stay in sync with the player. • Optional auto-advance moves to the next video when the current one ends. • Read public comments and nested replies, and load more when available. Playback pauses while you browse comments. • See view, like, comment and share counts based on the data Snapchat provides. • Open the original post or copy its link to share it. Refresh the feed to look for other videos. • An interface in Spanish, English, Hindi, Arabic, French, German and Brazilian Portuguese. Chrome selects the language, and Arabic uses a right-to-left layout. 🧭 How to use the extension 1. After installing, click the puzzle-piece Extensions icon in Chrome's toolbar. Find the extension and pin it for easy access. Click its icon to open the popup, the small window containing the controls. 2. Click "Open Spotlight". Videos will load in the side panel. On your first visit, a navigation guide appears; click "Got it" to continue. 3. Place your pointer over the video and scroll the mouse wheel. You can also press ↑ and ↓ while the panel has focus or use its navigation buttons. 4. Return to the popup to turn on "Sound", adjust the volume or enable "Auto-advance". 5. Click the comments icon to read comments and expand available replies. Close that view to return to the video. 6. To close the panel, open the popup again and click "Close Spotlight". The question-mark icon in the panel opens the navigation guide. The popup also has buttons to rate the extension and support the developer with a voluntary donation. ℹ️ Comments and scope The extension cannot like videos or comments, or publish comments or replies. Its editor lets you prepare a local draft. "Copy and open Snapchat" copies your text to the clipboard and opens the post; it does not publish the text or transfer it automatically to the mobile app. Closing the panel discards the draft. The Snapchat website we inspected directs these interactions to its mobile app. Videos come from the public feed, which may have a different order from your account's feed. Availability depends on Snapchat and your connection. Chrome 141 or later is required. Translations cover the interface, not other people's videos or comments. 🔒 Preferences and privacy Your preferences are saved in this browser. Content is requested directly from Snapchat and its media servers, which receive network information such as your IP address. The developer has no server of its own to receive your data and includes no analytics in the extension. The extension does not read passwords or session cookie values.
