The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Snap
Snap your fingers and vanish from your own video in Google Meet. You stay in the call, but your picture dissolves into particles and leaves the empty room behind. Snap again to come back.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Join a Google Meet call and click the Snap button in the top-left corner.
2. Click "Capture" and step out of frame for three seconds. Snap remembers your empty room.
3. Sit back down and snap your fingers. You're gone. Snap again to return.
FEATURES
• Real finger-snap detection, with a live mic meter to tune sensitivity
• Smooth particle dissolve effect
• Backup controls: a Vanish button and the Ctrl/⌘ + Shift + X shortcut
• Hide the button any time with Ctrl/⌘ + Shift + H
• Available in 10 languages: English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Português, Русский, 日本語, 한국어, 简体中文
• Clean glass design that stays out of your way
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Everything runs on your device. No video or audio ever leaves your computer, nothing is recorded, and there are no servers, analytics or tracking. Snap asks for no extra permissions and only runs on meet.google.com.
TIPS
• Keep the camera still and the lighting steady.
• If the effect leaves a trace, recapture the empty room.
• Not reacting to snaps? Raise the sensitivity slider.
