The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About SlayTab — One tab instead of twenty
Your start page, not your tab bar. Save and organise tabs from anywhere.
CLOSE YOUR TABS WITHOUT FEAR. SLAYTAB HAS THEM.
If you have forty tabs open right now and you are afraid to close any of them,
this was built for you.
SlayTab is a workspace for the things you keep open "just in case" — links,
documents, notes, todos and your calendar, grouped into categories you choose.
Save a tab in one click, from any machine, and find it exactly where you left
it tomorrow morning.
No more rebuilding your window from scratch every day. No more keeping a tab
open for three weeks because closing it feels like deleting it.
FEATURES
📌 One-click save — Click the toolbar icon to file the tab you are on. The
category you used last time is already selected, so most saves are two clicks
and no thinking.
🗂️ Save a whole window — Open the popup, tick the tabs worth keeping, save
them together, and tick "close them after saving" to clear the window in the
same motion.
🖱️ Right-click anything — "Save this page to SlayTab" on any page, "Save this
link" on a link you have not even opened yet, and "Save all tabs in this
window" — without leaving what you are doing.
⌨️ Keyboard shortcuts — Alt+Shift+S saves the current tab, Alt+Shift+A saves
the whole window, Alt+Shift+M opens SlayTab. All remappable.
🚫 Never a duplicate — Anything already saved is skipped rather than saved
twice, and it tells you it skipped it. Save the same window twice by accident
and nothing is duplicated.
☁️ Everywhere you sign in — Your workspace lives on the server, not in this
browser. Save on your laptop, open it on your desktop, reinstall Chrome
whenever you like. No exports, no manual backups, no sync to configure.
📁 Categories that fit your work — Group by project, topic or client. Files
as you save, at the moment you still remember why the tab mattered — not an
inbox to process on Sunday.
🔍 Instant search — One box across everything you have saved, or Ctrl/Cmd+K
for the command palette. Stop re-Googling things you already found.
📄 Documents that open in place — PDFs, images, spreadsheets, CSVs and text
files open inside the page instead of downloading to a folder you will forget.
📅 Your real calendar — Connect Google, Outlook or any iCal feed and see what
is actually coming up next to everything else. SlayTab only reads it unless
you nominate a Google calendar to write to, in which case the assistant can
add events to it.
✅ Todos with due dates — Grouped so overdue is the first thing you see.
📝 Notes that save themselves — A notepad in the workspace, with no save
button to forget.
🤖 An assistant that does things — Ask where you saved something and it opens
it. Tell it to file a document and it asks what to call it and where it goes.
Ask it to remind you before the 3pm call and it does. (Part of the paid plan;
everything above works free.)
🎨 Eight themes, ten accent colours — A page you look at all day should not be
somebody else's idea of nice.
SETTING IT UP — ABOUT A MINUTE
1. Create a free account at https://slaytab.com
2. Go to Account → Browser extension and create an access token
3. Right-click the SlayTab icon in your toolbar and choose Options
4. Paste the token and click "Save and test" — it tells you who you are
signed in as
5. Start saving
Free covers 50 saved links and documents, 25 notes, 25 todos and one connected
calendar. Paid plans lift the limits and add the assistant, from $2 a month.
The extension works identically either way.
