The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Slash Prompts: AI Prompt Manager, Text Expander & Snippets
Slash Prompts turns the "/" key into your personal prompt library. Type / in any text field on almost any website, pick a saved prompt, and it drops in at your cursor.
WHAT YOU GET
• AI prompt manager: save, name, edit and reuse your best prompts instead of retyping them.
• Text expander: turn a short /shortcut into a long block of text.
• Snippets and templates: canned responses, email replies, support macros, code blocks, signatures.
• Instant picker: type / then a few letters and the list filters as you go.
• Per-site control: switch slash commands on or off for any website, with a global default for new sites.
• Backup and restore: export every command to a JSON file and import it back, merging or replacing.
• Chrome sync: your commands follow your profile to your other computers.
WHERE IT WORKS
In standard text boxes, text areas and rich text editors, so the same commands are available in chat, webmail, comment fields and everyday web forms.
NOTHING INJECTED INTO THE PAGE
The picker opens in the extension popup, not on the page itself. Nothing is overlaid, restyled or slowed down. If a site already uses "/" for its own shortcuts, switch Slash Prompts off for that site with one click.
PRIVACY FIRST
Your prompts stay in Chrome storage on your own machine and in Chrome sync. No account, no sign-up, no servers, no analytics, no ads. The extension makes no network requests at all.
HOW TO START
1. Click the toolbar icon and add a command. Give it a short name like "summarize" and paste your prompt text.
2. On any site, click into a text box and type /summarize.
3. Pick it from the popup. The text lands at your cursor.
The interface is available in 51 languages.
Free to use. Requires Chrome 127 or newer.
