The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Site Mirror — save any page as a working local copy
Site Mirror saves any web page to your own computer as a folder that opens
offline and still works.
Not a screenshot, and not "Save as". Site Mirror captures the page exactly as
your browser rendered it — the HTML, every stylesheet flattened into one file,
the fonts, the images, the video and the site's own scripts — then rewrites
every link so the copy runs from your disk with the network switched off.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Clone a page
Download the whole thing as a folder. Open index.html directly, or run the
included one-line script to serve it locally — which is what sites built with
React, Vue or Svelte need, because browsers block modules over file://.
• Read the design system
Site Mirror measures the live page and derives its colour ramps, type scale,
spacing, radii and shadows. Export them as CSS variables, a Tailwind config,
or JSON.
• Inspect any element
Hover and the box model paints itself over the page — margin, border, padding,
content, in the four colours you already know. Click to pin it, then take it as
CSS, Tailwind, SCSS, JSX or a Design.md.
• Browse every asset
Every image, font, stylesheet and video the page loaded, with its size and
format, each one downloadable on its own.
• Preview on devices
Check the page at thirteen phone, tablet and laptop viewports without leaving
the tab.
PRIVACY
The capture runs inside your own browser and the folder is written straight to
your downloads. No page you capture is ever uploaded — not the markup, not an
image, not a line of text. We cannot see what you keep, and we could not hand it
to anyone if we were asked.
WHO IT IS FOR
Designers working out how a site is built. Developers rebuilding a layout
without guessing at values. Anyone who needs a working copy of a page before it
changes or disappears.
PLANS
Capture two websites free. Re-capturing a site you have already used never
counts again. Unlimited websites on the paid plan.
PLEASE NOTE
Only copy sites you own or have permission to copy. What you capture stays
subject to its owner's copyright, and how you use it is your responsibility.
Some pages cannot be captured perfectly. Content that loads from a live server,
DRM-protected video, and anything behind a login may be incomplete offline. That
is a limit of what a browser can see, not a bug in the export.
