The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Site Blocker
Site Blocker replaces distracting websites with a colorful "Stay Focused" poster the moment you try to open them — a small, funny speed bump between you and the scroll.
HOW IT WORKS
Add any site (reddit.com, twitter.com, youtube.com...) to your block list. Try to visit it, and instead of the site, you'll get a random motivational poster with a playful message — no boring "this site is blocked" browser error.
FEATURES
- Block any number of distracting sites (unlimited on Pro)
- Random rotating posters and captions, so it never gets old
- Delayed, multi-step confirmation before unblocking — no more impulse-removing a site mid-scroll
- Optional site lock (Pro): commit to 1, 4, or 24 hours with no way to remove it early
- Available in English and German
- No tracking, no ads, no external servers
FOR WHO
Anyone who opens a "quick check" tab and resurfaces 40 minutes later. Students, remote workers, or anyone doing deep work who wants a small friction layer between themselves and their worst habits.
WHY IT ASKS FOR PERMISSION PER SITE
When you add a site to your block list, Site Blocker asks Chrome for permission to access that specific domain — nothing more. Instead of requesting broad access to all websites at install time, the extension requests narrow, per-domain access only for the sites you choose to block, and releases that permission again if you remove the site.
PRIVACY
Site Blocker does not send your data anywhere. Your block list is stored locally via Chrome's storage API. No analytics, no tracking, no ads.
