Show All YouTube Chats by Default

Tired of manually switching YouTube chat to "All Chat" every time? This extension automatically switches the chat display from "Top Chat" to "All Chat" whenever you open a YouTube live stream or archive — so you never have to do it again. Key features: ・Automatically switches to "All Chat" when you open a live stream or archive ・Toggle auto-switching ON/OFF anytime from the toolbar icon ・Automatically hides YouTube's own chat notice banners (e.g. "Welcome to chat!"), independently toggleable ・Works reliably across YouTube's SPA page navigation and theater mode ・Available in Japanese and English (auto-detected from your browser language) This extension only uses the "storage" permission to save your ON/OFF preference — it never collects or transmits browsing history or personal data. ➤ Changelog [September 2026 / v1.3] Fixed bugs in the automatic chat switching (occasional failure to switch, and performance degradation during long viewing sessions). Added an option to automatically hide YouTube's own chat notice banners such as "Welcome to chat!" (toggleable independently from the popup). Added Japanese / English localization. [February 2026 / v1.2] You can now toggle the feature ON/OFF from the popup that appears when you click the extension icon. Please use this when you want to temporarily turn the feature off. [February 2025 / v1.1.1] Fixed an issue where the chat reverted to "Top Chat" due to a YouTube update (fullscreen & theater mode). Minor bug fixes.
