ShotDemo: record interactive demos

Make an interactive product demo by clicking through your web app. ShotDemo turns each click into a step: a picture of the screen just before the click, a hotspot where you clicked, and the name of what you clicked as the step's words ("Click Save"). Typing becomes a typing step, and passwords, card numbers and email addresses on the screen are blurred for you. HOW IT WORKS Open your product in a tab and click the ShotDemo button (or press Alt+Shift+D). Click through the flow you want to show. The badge counts the steps; undo the last one or pause at any time. Click "Finish and make the demo". ShotDemo opens and makes the demo in your account, ready to edit. THEN, IN SHOTDEMO • Change any step's words, move hotspots, add chapters, lead forms and calendars, blur, zoom and a voice-over. • Share it as a link, embed it on your website or help center, open it as a popup or inside your app. • See how many people opened it, how far they went and where they stopped, and collect leads with a form. • Export it as a video, a GIF, a written guide or an offline copy. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • It records only after you click Start, only in the tab you started it in, and stops when you pause or finish. • Nothing leaves your browser until you finish; then the recording goes to your own ShotDemo account and the extension deletes its copy. • It never records what you type into password, card number or one-time code fields. • A page kept as HTML holds no more than your screen showed: email addresses become blurred shapes, nothing hidden or off the screen keeps its words, and a link keeps only a fingerprint of where it leads. • It asks for activeTab, scripting and storage, and for access to app.shotdemo.com only.
