The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About Shopify Theme Detector & Apps - Stackpeek

🔍 Stackpeek is a Shopify theme detector extension and app detector in your side panel. Open a shop, click the icon, and in about a second you see what it is built on: theme, apps, tracking pixels, catalogue and top sellers, without leaving the tab. 🚀 Quick start 1ī¸âƒŖ Open any online shop you are curious about. 2ī¸âƒŖ Click the Stackpeek icon in the toolbar. 3ī¸âƒŖ Read the answer in the panel beside the page. 🧭 Why this extension ➤ One click instead of digging through page source to see which apps run and what the site tracks. ➤ A theme checker, an app detector and a pixel checker in one panel, so you stop switching between tabs. ➤ Alt+Shift+S opens it from the keyboard. No account, no sign-up, no email. 🧩 What each scan shows - Theme: name, version, creator and price, paid ones included. It also tells the original from a customized fork, a bespoke build or a headless storefront. - Apps: every one it can fingerprint, grouped by job: page builders, email, reviews, upsell, subscriptions, loyalty, shipping and more. - Trackers: each advertising and analytics pixel, named rather than counted. - Shopify tech stack: CDN, payment, consent and search services. - Products: catalogue size, price range and variant count. - Top sellers: the shop's own top products, in order. ⚡ Auto-scan, if you want it ▸ Switch it on and the panel scans each tab you open, no click needed. ▸ A dot on the icon marks each store on the platform, checked on your device. ▸ It asks for access to all sites, so it is off until you turn it on. đŸ“Ļ Export the catalogue â€ĸ Every public product and variant, up to 10,000, as a CSV in the platform's own import format. â€ĸ Titles, descriptions, prices, compare-at prices, SKUs, weights, options, tags and image URLs. â€ĸ It does the job of a Shopify scraper, with no code to write. â€ĸ The file is built in your browser and never sent to Stackpeek. â€ĸ Scan results: copy them as Markdown, or save them as CSV or JSON. đŸŽ¯ Results you can check ◆ Weak app matches stay in the list, flagged as unverified next to the strong ones. ◆ Top sellers come only from the shop's own sort order, and only once it is verified. ◆ A site that is not on the platform is reported as such, never guessed. đŸ•ĩī¸ Who uses it 1. Merchants: the apps and pixels behind the shops you admire. 2. Agencies: a website technology checker for pitches, audits and migrations. 3. Marketers: ecommerce competitor analysis of a rival's pixels, apps and offers. 4. Dropshippers: a product research tool for catalogue size, prices and top sellers. 5. Developers: a quick competitor analysis tool before you quote the job. 🔒 Private by design ✔ī¸ No browsing history is kept. The extension reads technical signals from the page you scan and sends them for matching. ✔ī¸ Nothing is kept about pages that are not shops; for a store, the record attaches to it, not to you. ✔ī¸ Four permissions: activeTab, scripting, sidePanel, and storage for one anonymous install ID. Access to all sites only if you turn on auto-scan. ✔ī¸ Open source under the MIT license: https://github.com/tonic20/stackpeek-extension ✔ī¸ Privacy policy: https://stackpeek.app/privacy ❓ Questions and answers 📌 What Shopify theme is this shop using? 💡 Click the icon on the page. The panel names the theme, with its version and price. 📌 What theme is this, if the merchant renamed it? 💡 The theme checker traces a renamed copy back to the original by the catalogue ID it keeps, and marks an edited one as a customized fork. 📌 Why an extension and not a website? 💡 An online Shopify theme detector fetches pages from its own server, and many shops block that. The extension reads the page you already have open. 📌 What is this website built with, if it is not a shop? 💡 Stackpeek reads one platform only, as a website theme detector for its storefronts. Other sites get a clear answer instead of a guess. 📌 Which browsers and languages? 💡 Chrome on Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromebook, plus a Firefox version. The panel speaks 15 languages. â„šī¸ An independent extension, not affiliated with Shopify Inc. Product names belong to their owners. ✅ Add Stackpeek to Chrome and open the next shop you wonder about.
