The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About ShipDR: Domain Rating & Backlink Checker
ShipDR answers two questions about any page you open, and then fills the form
you opened it for.
1. HOW STRONG IS THIS SITE?
Its Ahrefs Domain Rating, 0 to 100, the moment you open the popup. There is an
optional toolbar badge too: switch it on and the number sits on the icon for
every site you visit, without opening anything.
2. WHAT IS THIS PAGE WORTH TO YOU?
Name your own domain once. From then on, every page tells you whether an anchor
on it points at your site, what that link's rel actually says, and whether the
page carries a noindex tag. The matching anchors are listed, so you can check
the verdict instead of trusting it.
Built for makers submitting to startup and AI directories, where "we listed
you" and "you got a backlink that counts" are two different things:
- DOFOLLOW: the link is there and passes credit.
- NOFOLLOW: the link is there and passes nothing. Fine for traffic, a bad trade
if you paid a homepage slot for it.
- DF · NOINDEX: dofollow on a page Google drops from its index. Looks like a
win, earns nothing. This is the failure most tools never show you.
- NO LINK: no anchor on this page points at your site.
3. FILL THE FORM, THEN READ WHAT IT ACTUALLY DID
Submitting a product means typing the same name, tagline, description, URL and
email into a hundred different forms. Write them once on shipdr.dev and the
popup fills them here.
It matches fields by what the form itself says, not by a hand-kept list of
sites, so it works on a directory nobody has mapped and keeps working after a
redesign. It also means it is sometimes wrong about a box, which is why it
tells you exactly what it did: "Filled 6 of 7 fields it could read", the
answers no box asked for as copy buttons, and the boxes it saw but could not
identify, left alone rather than guessed at.
It never submits anything. It fills, you check, you press the button.
A file upload still needs you to pick the file. No extension can fill one.
WHAT IT WILL NOT PRETEND TO KNOW
The scan reads the page as your browser rendered it, so JS-rendered listings
are no problem. But a browser tab cannot see HTTP headers, so ShipDR never
claims a page is "indexable", only that no noindex tag is present: an
X-Robots-Tag header or a robots.txt rule can still block it. And when no link
is found, that is an absence, not a verdict: some directories route their
outbound click through a counter, which looks identical from inside a tab.
Both of those gaps are what shipdr.dev checks on a schedule, along with drop
alerts and DR history. The extension is the free part, and it works on its own.
PRIVACY, PLAINLY
The Domain Rating and the link check need no account and no sign-in. The domain
you name as your own stays in your browser and is never sent anywhere. The page
itself is read inside your browser and never leaves it. What does leave is the
hostname of the tab you are looking at, used to read that domain's public
Domain Rating: only when you open the popup, or, if you switch the badge on,
when you visit a site. Each host is looked up at most once a day.
The submission kit is the one part that needs an account, because it hands back
answers you wrote while signed in to shipdr.dev. Nothing about the page you are
filling is sent anywhere: the form is read in the tab, matched in the popup,
and the report of what was filled never leaves your browser. Signed out, that
pane is one line and a link, and everything above it works exactly as before.
No analytics in the extension, no ads, and no profile of you anywhere. Links
from the popup to shipdr.dev carry a plain source tag, so we can tell a visit
that came from the extension from one that came from search. It says which
panel it came from and nothing about you.
