ShieldMap — Visual Privacy Firewall

ShieldMap is a visual privacy firewall for Chrome. It shows the network domains a page contacts so you can understand the first- and third-party services involved and block domains you do not want. WHAT SHIELDMAP DOES • Draws a live request map for the current tab. • Classifies request domains to help surface trackers and third parties. • Lets you block and unblock domains with Chrome's Manifest V3 rules engine. • Sends Global Privacy Control through the Sec-GPC header and navigator.globalPrivacyControl, with compatibility controls for sites that need them. • Stores the request map and settings in Chrome; browsing data is not sent to ShieldMap servers in v1.0. PRIVACY BY DESIGN No account is required. ShieldMap v1.0 does not transmit your browsing history, page content, request graph, or block decisions to ShieldMap. Some preferences may sync through Chrome if Chrome Sync is enabled. The extension periodically downloads public EasyList/EasyPrivacy data from easylist.to to refresh blocking intelligence. WHY THE BROAD SITE ACCESS ShieldMap needs access to sites you visit so it can display their network requests, apply user-selected blocking, and send GPC where enabled.
