The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Shaghal
Shaghal (شغّال, Arabic for "working") shows whether the website you're on works from Syria.
Open the side panel on any site to see its status, based on testing from inside Syria. You can also help keep that record accurate:
• Vote "I need this" on services that don't fully work from Syria. Services with the most votes get priority for outreach.
• Report what works. Test the site from Syria without a VPN, mark each part as working or failing, and add a note or a screenshot.
• Suggest a correction when a service's details are wrong.
• Report a site that blocks Syria but isn't tracked yet.
A volunteer reviews every report before it changes the record.
Available in English and Arabic.
Privacy
• No account needed, and your email is optional.
• While the panel is open, Shaghal sends your current tab's address to Unblock Syria to find the matching service. It never reads your browsing history.
• Shaghal takes a screenshot only when you click "Add screenshot". Before sending, you can crop it and black out names, emails and other personal details.
