The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About SFMC Contact Trace
Contact Trace answers the question every Marketing Cloud team asks daily:
"why didn't this contact get the email?"
Enter a SubscriberKey or email address — or right-click it anywhere on the
web — and see, in one side panel:
- Which of your key Data Extensions contain this contact
- Recent send, open, click, bounce, and unsubscribe events
- Consent and suppression status
- A plain-English verdict: active, held, bounced, or unsubscribed
Today that answer takes five to eight SQL queries across data views and
manual joins. Contact Trace does it in one search.
HOW IT WORKS
Contact Trace connects directly to your own Marketing Cloud tenant using
credentials you configure — a Server-to-Server Installed Package you
create yourself — plus a small CloudPage endpoint you publish in Content
Builder. No data passes through any third-party server. See the Privacy
Policy for full details.
SETUP
This is a technical tool aimed at SFMC admins, architects, and
consultants. Setup involves creating a scoped API Integration package and
publishing one CloudPage — instructions are in the extension's README.
WHAT IT'S NOT
Contact Trace does not modify any data in your tenant — it's read-only.
It does not send email, does not change consent status, and does not
require access to any BU beyond the ones you explicitly configure.
