The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Sensefold Web Clipper: Articles, Videos, Threads, AI Chats, Markdown Export
Sensefold is a personal context layer you build together with your AI — and
this extension is the fastest way in. Clip articles, YouTube videos, social
threads, and AI chats in one click; review the clean full text, AI summary,
and editable tags; export any capture as Markdown. Everything you save becomes
searchable context your own AI tools can draw on — the more you capture, the
better they understand you.
📥 CAPTURE ANYTHING
► Articles & blog posts — clean, readable full text without the clutter
► YouTube videos — with transcripts on supported pages
► Social threads — X (Twitter), Reddit, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky & more, including readable comments
► AI chats — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok & more
► Notes — write, edit, and save your own notes from the side panel
► Captures reflect what is rendered in the active page, including any sign-in or subscription access you already have
🤖 AI SUMMARIES & EDITABLE TAGS
► Concise AI-generated takeaways for pages and videos — review before you save
► Suggested tags you can edit before or after saving
► Recent capture and note drafts stay local for quick access
📝 MARKDOWN EXPORT
► Copy any capture or note as clean Markdown
► Paste it into Obsidian, Notion, or any Markdown editor
🖍️ HIGHLIGHT & ANNOTATE (NEW)
► Turn on the highlighter for a site and select text to save highlights and quoted comments
► Your marks come back when you revisit the page — on sites you enabled, Sensefold checks whether the page is in your library and restores your highlights
► Add a page comment to any saved page, right from the side panel
► Per-site and explicit: the highlighter runs only on sites you turn it on, and you can disable it per site anytime
🧠 YOUR CONTEXT LAYER
► Every capture lands in one searchable Sensefold library — full text, summaries, tags, and notes together
► Optimized extraction for social threads, AI chats, video pages, publishing sites, and developer content
► MCP-ready: connect your own AI tools to search and read what you saved
► The more you capture, the better your AI understands what you know and care about
⚡ HOW IT WORKS
1. Open Sensefold from the Chrome toolbar and sign in.
2. Choose "Capture this page" — or start a note.
3. Review the summary, editable tags, and extracted text.
4. Save it to your Sensefold library.
👤 PERFECT FOR
► Heavy AI users — your AI is only as good as the context you give it; feed it what you actually read
► Builders & product people — turn each day's flood of articles, threads, and AI chats into something your AI can use
► Content creators & writers — clip references and inspiration, export clean Markdown straight into your drafts
► Researchers & lifelong learners — a personal knowledge base that compounds
► Tab hoarders — close the tab, keep the substance
🔒 PRIVACY & SITE ACCESS
✓ Page reading is explicit — Capture reads the active page only when you choose it, and the highlighter runs only on sites you turn it on (to restore your highlights when you revisit). While the panel is open, Sensefold checks whether the current page is already in your library. Nothing runs before you accept the page-access disclosure
✓ No data selling, no advertising use
✓ Site access is optional and revocable anytime in Chrome's extension settings; the highlighter can be disabled per site
Signing in uses your Sensefold account email and authentication session through
Clerk. On your first page-access action (Capture, or enabling the highlighter),
Sensefold shows a disclosure and Chrome asks for optional permission to access
pages on all websites, remembered until you revoke it in Chrome's extension
settings. Outside Capture and the sites you enable the highlighter on,
Sensefold does not read page content.
Only after you choose Capture does Sensefold read the active page's URL, title,
domain, readable content, available thumbnail, and, on supported YouTube pages,
transcript. Depending on the page you choose, readable content can include
social posts, comments, or AI chat conversations. Sensefold sends that data over
HTTPS to Sensefold and its listed processors to create a preview, AI summary,
suggested tags, and, after you choose Save, to store the item. Note titles and
bodies remain local drafts until you choose Save, when they are sent to your
Sensefold library. Recent capture and note drafts, highlight drafts awaiting
upload, the sites you enabled the highlighter on, reading size, and the
page-access disclosure acknowledgement are stored locally in Chrome. Sensefold does
not sell this data or use it for advertising.
