About Send to Case
Send files from any webpage straight to a Clio matter — your files upload directly from your browser to Clio Manage, never through our servers.
The fastest way to upload documents to Clio Manage: court filings, discovery, PDFs, and email attachments go straight from the web to the right matter — no download-then-upload shuffle, and without giving up control of where your files go.
How it works
- Right-click any download link and select "Send to Clio"
- Choose your matter from the search or recent list
- Done — your file uploads directly from your browser to Clio
Key Features
Files upload directly to Clio — never to us
Your files go from your browser to Clio's document storage over HTTPS, using the upload URL Clio's API returns. Send to Case servers are not in that path. Your Clio OAuth tokens stay in your browser's local extension storage on your device — we don't keep them on our infrastructure. Read our full Security & Architecture page at sendtocase.com/security.
One-click uploads, no download shuffle
Right-click any file on the web — SharePoint, OneDrive, a Gmail attachment, a prosecutor's portal — and send it straight to your Clio matter. No saving PDFs to your desktop, no re-uploading, no temporary copies left behind on shared or borrowed machines.
Built for high-volume, privileged work
Send to Case uses Clio OAuth (with PKCE) and inherits the permissions of the Clio user who signed in — including any matter-level restrictions your firm has set. Tokens can be revoked from Clio's Connected Apps settings at any time.
Batch Upload
Scan any webpage for downloadable files and upload multiple documents to Clio at once. Built for court filing systems, document portals, and cloud storage sites where discovery arrives in bulk.
Smart Matter Search
Find Clio matters by number, description, or client name. Your recently used matters appear first for faster access.
Automatic Zip Extraction
Drop a zip file and Send to Case automatically extracts and uploads each document — PDFs, Word files, and more — to your matter individually.
Free to try — upload up to 10 files per month free. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited uploads to Clio.
