The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Selection Fence
Selection Fence helps prevent accidental text selections from jumping into unrelated parts of a web page.
When you drag to select text, moving the pointer slightly outside the current paragraph, heading, or text block can sometimes cause the selection to suddenly expand into other parts of the page. Selection Fence keeps the selection within the text block where the drag started.
Features
Prevents accidental selection jumps to unrelated text blocks
Three selection modes: Smart, Nearest, and Block Edge
The difference between modes is most noticeable when selecting multi-line text
Hold Alt while starting a drag to temporarily disable the restriction and select across multiple blocks
Automatically pauses near visible password, credit-card, and one-time-code fields
No analytics
No advertising
No external network requests
No page content, selected text, or form input values are stored or transmitted
Selection modes
Smart (recommended): Uses the nearest text position for small pointer movements and the block edge when the pointer moves farther away
Nearest: Always stops at the text position closest to the pointer within the starting block
Block Edge: Stops at the beginning or end of the text block where the selection started
Selection Fence runs locally in your browser. Only the selected behavior mode is stored locally using Chrome's extension storage.
For privacy and safety, Selection Fence automatically pauses its selection-limiting behavior near visible password, credit-card, and one-time-code fields. It only checks field type, autocomplete attributes, visibility, and position; it does not read the values entered into those fields.
Disclaimer: Selection Fence is provided as-is and is not a security product. The sensitive-field auto-pause feature is a convenience feature and does not guarantee protection of confidential information.
