The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Search Inside Google Drive & Docs — Prism
Stop opening 15 tabs just to find one sentence.
Google Drive search shows file titles but not why a document matched. Prism adds snippet previews to Drive search results, showing the exact matching sentence inside your Docs, Sheets, Slides, and PDFs, with a one-click jump to that spot in the file.
FEATURES
Instant sentence previews
When you search in Google Drive, a side panel shows the matching sentence and its surrounding context before you open the file.
One-click jump to the passage
Click a snippet to open the document and scroll straight to the matching sentence, paragraph, or spreadsheet row. No re-typing in Ctrl+F.
Exact phrase matching
Wrap your query in quotation marks and Prism looks for that exact phrase, which helps when you need a specific clause, invoice number, or SKU.
Folder-scoped search
Limit your search to the folder or shared drive you are currently viewing.
Export matches to a Google Doc
Collect matching excerpts, source file names, and links from several files into a brief and open it as a new Google Doc.
SUPPORTED FILES
Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and PDFs stored in your Drive.
PRIVACY
Prism does not request Google Drive OAuth permissions. File text is processed locally in your browser, and your documents and search queries are not sent to external servers.
HOW TO USE
1. Click "Add to Chrome".
2. Go to drive.google.com and search for a word or exact phrase.
3. Review the matching passages in the side panel.
4. Click a passage to jump to that line in the document.
